About Joe Vrechek

Joe Vrechek has built a career defined by service, integrity, and excellence. A former Soldier, public defender, prosecutor, and chief felony prosecutor, Joe has devoted his life to  service and the pursuit of justice. Now in private in practice, he brings that same depth of experience, discipline, and compassion to his work in criminal and family law.

At 18, Joe enlisted in the U.S. Army as a private and deployed twice to Iraq, in 2007 and 2009. He was awarded the distinguishment of "Soldier of the Year" for Task Force XII, Multi-National Forces - Iraq.

After active duty, Joe went on to finish college, using the G.I. Bill, at The University of Texas at Arlington. After completing his undergraduate degree, he was accepted to Texas A&M University School of Law. At law school, he was accepted into the Residency Externship Program in Washington, D.C. where he worked for the National Rifle Association's Institute for Legislative Action. 

Since becoming a lawyer, Joe has previously served as a public defender, private defense attorney as part of a law firm, prosecutor, and chief felony prosecutor for Wichita County. Throughout his career, he has tried every level of criminal offense in Texas, from Class C Misdemeanors to Capital Murder.
